About the Mathis Family

Kyle and Karen met in Sacramento in 1996.  They went out on their first date in 1998.  That date was a disaster (since Karen was basically tricked into the date).  But they remained friends, until Karen finally came around and realized that she liked Kyle.   They got together and then she broke up.   But then they got back together again.  And she broke up with him again.  But then finally they got back together for the third time.  Karen was tired of breaking up, so they got married August 24th, 2003.  Two years later, on April 15, 2005, their son, Alexander Joaquin, was born.  Exactly a year and a half later, on October 20, 2006, their daughter, Zoe Charisma, was born.   Marriage and parenthood have been wonderful.  And we wanted to share our experiences through this blog.
